Picked up the camera today and have been having lots of fun.

Casey has been a great sport by letting me take lots and lots of pics of him.

One of the things that I really wanted to work on learning is the aperture.

Would of helped if Brian had told me he switched out lenses on me!

I wanted the background a little blurrier but I really like this picture.

Getting there.

This camera is replacing our nearly 6 year old camera that was one of the top ones when we bought it. Let me tell you the difference between the two is night and day.

I LOVE MY NEW CAMERA!!!

It is going to take me awhile to learn to use it.

Luckily we have a friend that uses Nikon in her photography business and she just might be willing to show me the ropes.

Come tomorrow, this bad boy should be mine and I couldn't be more excited!!! The best part is that I will purchasing it from our partner store best buy...and I don't have to wait for it to ship because I can choose to pick it up in store!! Come on tax refund!! Hopefully I will be able to get a flip also since Costco has them for $30 off.

Going to put it to Good Use

While my Mom was up this summer she purchased a year pass to the Mount Vernon children's museum. Brian's cousin called and wanted to get together over her sons mid winter break and we were looking for something half way between us. What did I come up with. The Everett Children's Museum. We will be heading there in Mid February for a day a fun. I am looking forward to it. And with our tax return coming soon I will be making a few trips down to Mount Vernon to get a duck stuffed and hung for the wall and will plan on making a day of it with a trip to the Mount Vernon Children's Museum. Can't wait!
