Happy Birthday Casey

Hard to believe that is has been 5 years since we welcomed our second child into the family!
He came 10.5 months after his older brother.
Our little tax deduction.
Seriously.
Determined that he would be born before the first of the year I mixed Castor Oil into a McDonald milk shake on the evening of December 30!
I can't drink them anymore, I still smell and taste the castor oil!
*on a side note, I have taken Castor Oil with my last two pregnancies and it didn't work. Not sure why it worked with Casey, maybe he knew how badly we wanted the extra deduction!
Called my sister to come pick up Michael because contractions had started.
After 12 hours of labor he made his big debut.
Casey is full of life!

This is my favorite picture of Casey with my Dad!

Another one of my favorite!

Such a sweet little guy.

Cowboy Case!

Here he is, the new 5 year old.
I can't wait to see what the coming year holds for this guy.
Happy Birthday to my dear sweet 2nd born!

School Program

Peyton is waiting for the Christmas program to start

There is Michael, the girl standing next to him started dancing right in front of him whenever I tried to take a picture.

I am so thrilled with the school district we are in. Not only is it the school I attended, but my mom also attended. Michael's music teacher is the mother of a girl I graduated with. She is such a sweet lady. I am also thrilled that with the song choices.
There was a little baby, oh my lord, way down in Bethlehem.

There are not many schools that would let you sing that now a days!!

He is Growing Up so Fast

Did you see what was missing in the picture above?

That's right, he lost his first tooth!!!!
He is growing up to fast!

Grace can roll!!

Grace rolled over to get a better look at the monorail!

The boys' Christmas Tree

Michael was a shepherd in the church program, Casey is a two people to the left.

We were able to get two trees this year. Some friends of Carl and Cindy's had trees they needed thinned out. They had intended on using them as Christmas trees but couldn't use them fast enough. The said we could pick out any one we wanted and even get a little one for the boys. So we did. They love having their own tree in the rec room!!!

I think we have reached a conclusion

And now it all makes sense. We have had some mild concerns about Michael and his color recognition, but after getting a note home from the teacher yesterday about what is happening at school we looked a little deeper. We found some tests online asked Michael and Casey what they saw in the pictures. Casey could see everything and Michael could only see one. Then we found the reverse tests. The ones that only Michael could see, wouldn't you know it, Michael could see the stuff.

Michael has a color deficiency. Now, where do we go from here. I have no idea. His teacher suggested going to the doctor, is that necessary? Hopefully my sister will be able to help me when she is finished with her errands.

Happy Birthday Grandpa George

It is my Grandpa George's Birthday. We miss him very much and loved every minute we got to spend with him. Even the stressful one :o) This picture was taken in June of 2007. It was the first time Grandpa got to meet Peyton. I never like taking Peyton over there, not because I didn't like seeing Grandpa and having him see him. Grandpa would start crying whenever he saw Peyton, all because of that red hair. It reminded him of Grandma.

Thank you

Grandma Rutter was kind enough to "mail" (leave packages at our house that I am to tell the boys were mailed) to open through the month of December.
Don't worry Mom, I got pictures of the whole process. Just need to load them onto the computer.
More pics to come soon!

Grace's shirt says
I don't need mistletoe to get kissess

Oh so true!

All the boys loved their new gloves.
