1200 Calories a Day

It is just amazing what a Dr. order 1200 calorie a day diet can do for an almost 1 year old.
Before Diet at 17 lbs (roughly)
After Diet. Weighing in at 21lbs 5oz

What an amazing difference.

Goodbye old friend

Somehow we have managed to lose three pacifiers. So we went cold turkey on weaning Peytton off of it. It has been three days and we are holding in there. Although I have contemplated running to walmart and grabbing one i am putting my foot down and not doing it. Daytime isn't as bad as night. It has been taking him 20 minutes (at least) for him to put himself to sleep. Naps have cut themselves in half :O( Hopefully this won't take to much longer. Luckily Peyt hasn't replaced the pacifier with his thumb. Breaking that habit with Casey is probably all I can handle.

Dentist Check-up

Michael and Casey's teeth got a clean bill of health from the dentist this morning. Michael still has no problem with the dentist and Casey still wants nothing to do with it. I even let him take his oley blanket in and that didn't even help. One thing we will be watching with Michael is his crossbite. The dentist is hoping that it will clear itself up as his adult teeth start coming in and his jaw grows. Otherwise we could be looking at braces. Oh boy, what fun that will be.

Giddy Up Horsey, Lets Go

Peyton got to go on his first horse ride, thanks Heather for riding with him
He loved it. After he was doe we took the helmet off and he quickly went to put it back on.

Casey loving his horse ride, of course.
Michael really enjoyed it this time. He loves the white horse. It is his favorite.

Our friends Don, Heather and their two kids Bonnie and Bobbie joined us this time. Everyone had a wonderful time.

Se Se and Isa a not so great combination

Put these two together and it can get interesting. Casey and Isa are quite the pair and tend to get into everything and anything. Take a look at the bookshelf. Right before Isa came it looked good, we had just picked up. Ten minutes after arrival, books on floor, stuffed animals all over and puzzles knocked down and thrown about.

Crab Season is Here :o)

Friday morning Brian, myself , Michael and Casey set out on quite the adventure. In our bright green 17 ft boat we braved the not so fun up to 3 feet waves to get to the crabbing grounds. Mommy had a break down ( I don't like being in open water that is really bumpy), Michael was not having fun either, but our future crab fisherman Casey was loving every minute of it. We limited out in 2.5 hours and were home by 1. We stopped at DNR cove and forgot that the tide was going out. So when we went to go leave our boat was stranded. Brian and I played a fun game of move the rocks and push the boat, while Michael and Casey played on the shore looking for baby crabs and starfish. The boys enjoyed measuring the crab and seeing how big they were each time daddy pulled up a new pot. Here are a couple pics as I had forgotten to take my camera on the boat. Casey was sleeping by the time I got back to take the pics. Peyton spent the day playing at Grandma Cindy's. Here is Michael and Peyton with two of the 16 crabs that we brought back. Most of the crabs were well over the minimum size requirements.
Michael is holding Peyton like that because he kept going after the crab and I was afraid he would be pinched as well. We tried to get a picture of Michael holding one of the crabs but as soon as he put his had to hold the very heavy crab, not so nice Mr. Crab reached around with his claw and pinched. Luckily this boy has quick reflexes and quickly dropped the heavy crab.
Brian then went back out on Saturday and enjoyed the day with a co worker. They also limited out. Looks like it might be a good crabbing season this year. Brian might have just found his lucky shirt thanks to my mom. It is one about fishing. I will have to get a picture and post it sometime.

Cowboy Cas and his Chocolate horse

This evening went much better than I had imagined. I feared that the boys would want to ride until they saw how tall the horses were. Casey wanted to ride so badly that he could hardly wait and he went twice :o) He even went all by himself and didn't even want us to walk with him. He insisted on riding the chocolate (brown horse).

Michael didn't want anything to do with the horses though. It took a lot of bribing and Mommy to get him on it. He ended up enjoying it and went back for another ride.
this time by himself.
Peyton is still to little to go, he just enjoyed the food.
We might just have to go back next Wednesday so that Casey can get his horse fix. He has been asking for a horse for a couple weeks now. Luckily our neighbor has two that we can watch.

Cowboy Cas

I love it when we can make his day with just a simple hat.

Six Years and another Sunday on the boat

Sunday marked our six year anniversary. What a ride it has been so far.
So to celebrate we took the boat out. Got up at 5 in the morning. Luckily the cover was on the top so the boys got to get some more rest in.
I had a picture of Michael her but somehow I accidently deleted it so I will post it some other time this week as his was the only one worth keeping and it was the first fish of the day.
Casey caught a cut little blue gill.

Peyton got a good nap in. He had fun fishing too.
More pics to come later.

Sunday Fun

Sunday afternoon we were able to meet up with our friends, Heather and Don and their kids Bonnie and Bobbie. We took the boat out Lake Whatcom for some tubing and a BBQ at their parents property (right on the lake with a dock and access)
Casey with Heather being towed in after tubing on the lake. Casey loves being in the tube.
Don and Bobbie
Peyton ready for some food (nothing odd about that :o)
2 out of 3 isn't it bad. Tired out from a fun day on the boat.

I had wanted to get more pics from on the boat but Peyton was screaming the whole time. He hates to be in the life jacket. He just can't do much with that thing on.
All in all it was a good day.
